Pathway to Hope Chooses Karla Bauer to Perform - November 1, 2011

Overland Park, Kansas, November 1, 2011 - Independent Music Artist, Karla Bauer, will perform the National Anthem and her award-winning song, “Always”, at the 2011 Pathway to Hope Night at the Movies on November 17, 2011. Night at the Movies is Pathway to Hope’s largest fund raising event of the year.

Karla Bauer first crafted “Always” with the heart of a 12 year old girl. The final version was written many years later during a very painful time in her life. “Always” launched her career as an Independent Music Artist when the song was nominated for the KCCM’s Song of the Year Finalist Award in 2009.

2007 New CD Release Party for Karla Bauer - September 17, 2007

The 2007 CD Release Party was held on Saturday, September 15th at Homer's Coffee House on 80th & Metcalf in Overland Park, Kansas.

Karla spoke of the amazing events leading up to the production and release of her new CD. As she pointed toward the lyrics of each song clearly displayed in the black-wooden frames, she told of the meaning behind the songs and the many people she encountered to help her make her dream come true.

Joe Mills, producer and owner of Highpoint Recording, tearfully spoke of the song, "Always" and how as he listened to the song one late night in his studio, the song lifted him to continue the difficult relocation of his studio to Lenexa, Kansas.

Karla mentioned to me many times how overwhelmed she was by the many family and friends that were there to support her life-long efforts on this special day.

I strongly encourage you to listen and view the words of each song as they creatively tell the story of the her journeys "living as a light in a loud dark world".
