KCAIC grant recipient, Nall Avenue Baptist Church will be partnering with Alcott Arts Center and Karla Bauer for a swinging Outreach Community Concert. The Alcott Arts Center students will join Karla to sing on stage for a grand concert finale led by music director, Debbie Winter. Free to the public

About the event
Karla developed the SHINE On! Music Workshop and Community Outreach Concert program to give students a real-life experience when they share the stage with her to perform some swinging songs from her Jazz/Gospel album titled, "Everything Must Change" for a grand concert finale!
Karla will be performing with her incredibly talented jazz ensemble, an eclectic instrumental music ensemble comprised of accomplished professional artists who are also experienced, music educators, and composers. Roger Wilder - piano, James Albright - upright bass, Stan Kessler - trumpet.
For over ten years, Bauer has educated hundreds of students from under-served and rural communities on how to have a successful music career but more importantly, how to promote themselves "safely" in a digital world.
The performances have been centered around her mission to demonstrate how borders can be broken down when experiences are shared with the students the center of it all.
