CHILDREN'S BEDTIME LULLABY BOOK
by Karla Bauer
Be still, be still
Just rest awhile
for when you awake
the angels smile
What do you think Mary did to help
baby Jesus fall asleep?
She sang him a sweet lullaby.

This lyrical tale begins with Mary, the mother of God,
singing a lullaby to her precious baby boy as she holds him close in her arms
Inspired by the scripture in Luke 2:17-19 NKJV “Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.”
"Be Still" is a song I wrote for my Christmas album, "Hope is Alive." The song was originally titled, "Rest in Peace." When I was creating the lyrics to this song, I wondered what would Mary do to comfort her precious baby boy. As a mother myself, I thought, she would sing him a lullaby and so the song was created. And now my lullaby song has been published in to this beautiful children's bedtime book! As a self-published author, I am grateful for your support!
